Common FAQs

The Basics

  • Our approach is to help clarify the difference between what a company thinks they want and what they actually need and changing the mentality of selling products into solving problems. By aligning with your customers and adopting new sales tactics, the leads then begin to generate themselves.

  • There is no difference. Just a spin on the name to make it sound more intriguing. "Telemarketing" is to sales as "used car" is to salesmen. You just don't say it.

  • A lead is an actionable activity that connects a company to a prospect.

  • An opportunity is a monetary amount that is proposed to the customer to resolve a problem.

  • The status is the current position of an opportunity. A status can be customized to reflect any sales process.

  • There is no common cost. The more requirements for the lead, the higher the cost will be due to the candidate pool shrinking as the opportunity is more clearly defined.

  • A ratio is an average number based upon a specific set of data. For example, a close ratio: the total number of quotes divided by the number of sales, plus dead. This would give you the number of quotes you delivered to sales made. This data is significant when scaling your business.

  • This is always a moving number. The best way to find this information is to use the number of calls made and divide that number by the total number of appointments. This will give you a call-to-meeting ratio.

  • A softphone is a piece of software that allows users to make telephone calls over the internet via a computer or smartphone. It has all the features of a desk phone and typically expands the range of services you can access on a desk phone.

  • Your return on investment (ROI) measures the profitability of your lead generation campaigns by comparing the revenue generated to the cost of the campaigns.

  • Voice over Internet Protocol, also called IP telephony, is a method and group of technologies for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol networks, such as the internet.

  • Both terms are somewhat similar, but telemarketing has been “deemed” a bad job title due to the poor quality, low cognitive and extremely poor conversion. Sales development has been developed over the past serval years in the SaaS world as a higher level or employee who has specific skills and abilities the typical telemarketer does not have.

  • Lead development is important for your business because it is the process of identifying potential customers who are interested in your products or services and nurturing them until they become paying customers. Without effective lead development, your business may struggle to generate new sales and revenue streams.

  • The time it takes to see results from lead development efforts can vary depending on several factors. In general, it can take several weeks or even months to see significant results from lead development efforts, as it often takes time to build relationships with potential customers and move them through the sales funnel.

  • Conversion rates measures the percentage of leads that convert into paying customers.

  • A lead-to-opportunity ratio measures the percentage of leads that turn into qualified sales opportunities.
